- Part Verification System
Some of our clients manufacture parts to order, and many of the parts may resemble one another. In this situation a common issue is mixed parts. Weather a person accidentally places a wrong part in a bin of different parts, or manufacturing rules were not followed, mixed parts can spell disaster. When clients discover the mixed parts they may return the whole order, or worse they may look for a new vendor.
Part Verification comes in a number of flavors from “Pick a Part” where users choose from previously trained parts, to “Learn on the Fly” where the system can learn from a first part, or learn from rendered images.
Pick a Part is the most common type of system. You can see
These systems employ more sophisticated, user directed tools. Each tool can be picked and setup for the selected part, including pass/fail tolerances.
Learn on the Fly systems utilize more discrete analysis to determine the authenticity of the part in question. In the image below, the rendered part image on the left has been learned by the system, and is compared to the actual part being inspected on the right. The sections highlighted in red are the differences.
The Part Verification System can be tailored to your application.
