- Molten Steel /Slag Quantification System
IRIS worked with a global leader in metal flow technology to develop the Molten Steel/Slag Quantification System. This vision driven system utilizes a FLIR camera to record event triggered image analysis and AVI files of ladle pours of molten metal. Utilizing the temperature data in the images, the vision system can:
- Detect an approaching Ladle
- Image analysis, and segmentation of the image into metal components of steel and slag
- Quantification and tabular correlation of the percent steel to Slag for each pour
- Save historic video to AVI or indexed images
The software includes a correlation extension that enables the user to connect acquired data to specific ladles and pours.
